Food: Great food, Order before cooking (I think) Portions: Pretty good size Price: Pricy Service: above normal Atmosphere: Nice and clean, looks very pleasant, feels comfortable This is one of the better dim Sum places around the Los Angeles area. You can pretty much count how many actually serve good dim sums. This is one. However the Dim Sum menu is not very large. It is order before bringing out. The order system is mostly done via your phone by scanning a QR code. But you still can ask a waiter for a menu or place an order for you. The food comes out still very hot. It's not sitting on a dim Sum cart for sure. The flavor, the taste are good. However, it is a bit pricey. I guess bigger portions, better taste all comes with a higher price. There usually will be a line on the weekends Small $6+ Noodle rolls $8+

We had our late lunch at Lunasia. I'm very happy with the food they served, the fried shrimp egg roll is so crispy. The sweet and sour chicken is the best. The chicken feet tasted just right. We also order my favorite the sticky rice wrap with abalone. The server Lily ,Wayne and Dylan are the best, excellent customer service. For sure we will be back and will invite friends.

I had such a wonderful and pleasant customer experience at Lunasia Dim Sum House this week for takeout dim sum which prompted me to return again on the 2nd day then once again on the 3rd day! The greeter Dylan was so kind and friendly, and he was highly motivated to provide excellent and accurate service to me. He went above and beyond to ensure that my order was correctly prepared, and I am so happy and appreciative! The greeter Carmen is also friendly, kind, and pleasant and she made me feel comfortable and valued as a customer. The dim sum was freshly prepared in rapid time and the appearance was beautiful and the taste was delicious. Thank you!

It's hard to find a good Dim Sum restaurant. We love Din Tai Fung but we consider DTF to be more of a dumpling house versus a dim sum restaurant. My son had been to Lunasua previously and thought we would enjoy the dim sum. We were in SoCal to celebrate his birthday and had him choose a restaurant. There are several Lunasia restaurants and my son chose the one in Pasadena. The restaurant doesn't have parking and street parking is hard to find. We found a reasonable priced parking lot about a 5 minute walk away. We were hoping that it would be slow if we went at 2:30 pm on a Sunday. The wait was about 45 minutes for a party of four which gave us time to walk around the area and visit a French bakery a couple of doors over. Once we sat then, the service was quick. You fill out an order sheet, they print out the order and post it on the wall next to your table so they can cross off the items as they are served. Service is quick. We ordered Sui Mai, Har Gow, Fried Rice with Chicken, Gai Lan, Broccoli with garlic, pan fried potstickers, steamed pork buns, mixed pork puff and tea. The sui mai are bigger than other dim sum restaurants, har gow was fresh with large shrimp, XLB was juicy and flavorful, fried rice was flavorful, the gai lan was a bit bitter, the broccoli paired well with the garlic, potstickers were crispy, pork buns were tasty and the pork puffs were fried nicely and tasty. Overall, very fresh, flavorful and cooked right dim sum. The downside is the $2 per person for tea and a minimum mandatory 18% gratutity. We will definitely be back for the dim sum. Best time to go is after lunch and closer to dinner, around 4 pm seems to be the slowest time with no wait.

Great food and reasonable price. We went there on Mother's Day. Signed up for waiting list through the yelp. (At 12pm) Waited 1 hour then they called me our table was ready. The service was fast and quick despite of the busy day. It's a small place and popular spot! I'd love to come here again next time!

During a conference weekend, my colleagues and I (a group of at least 15) enjoyed a night of dim sum at Lunasias! There is plenty of seating upstairs for large groups! Ordering was made easy through our phones (selecting which table number we were) and our food was served quickly after being placed. Soup dumplings are my favorite dim sum dish and Lunasia's were delectable, definitely the crowd favorite. The one thing we're all could not get over was the price! We got sooo much food, enjoyed their hot teas, tipped well, and it came out to about $45 per person. Will definitely be coming back!

Did you know they had an upstairs dining room? The ambiance is better downstairs. Ask for chili oil and black vinegar, don't pay extra for it. Just ask. - Pork Shumai 5/5 THICK, JUICY, HUGE shumais. [Recommend] - BBQ Pork Buns 1.9/5 The bun was fluffy on the outside but the taste of the BBQ pork was not good. - String Beans 3.5/5 Regular string beans, nothing special. The fried garlic on top is very salty. - Mixed Pork in Puff (the crunchy one) 5/5 YUMMM. Crispy and crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The filling is whatever but the shell tastes AMAZING. [Recommend] - Xiaolongbaos (Soup Dumplings) 3.8/5 A bit thicker wrapping, little soup. The filling tastes good though. Slightly juicy. - Har gow 4.8/5 Big pieces of shrimp inside. Pretty good! [Recommend] - Hot and Sour Soup 1.6/5 It's very peppery, and VERY sour. It isn't the right balance. Wouldn't get again. Parking is street parking. They DONT validate.

Great spot for dim sum right in old town Pasadena! We checked in around 12 noon on a Saturday for 2, predicted hour wait time. We didn't mind because there are so many fun stores to browse and walk to nearby. Our table was ready early, only took 30 min! It was super efficient seating process, there's a specialized QR code at the table so you order from your phone. Food came out quickly. The usual har gow, siu mai, chicken feet were all delicious. They had sold out of most of the rice noodles with meat so we got the rice noodles with crispy shrimp and it was sooo good. Great texture with the soft rice noodle and crunchy shrimp. Pineapple buns were a great way to end the meal. We will def be back!!

Pro tip 1) they don't have beef rice noodle apparently bc they don't have a machine to pull the rice noodle 2) they are planning on moving to a newer, larger space a few blocks away by end of 2024! Then they will be able to fit the machine it takes to stretch the rice noodle. Plus have its own parking lot
